Senior UC Collaboration Engineer

We are in search of an experienced Senior UC Collaboration Engineer to excel in the innovation, design, and maintenance of complex unified communications systems. The primary focus will be to enhance voice, video, data, and mobile application integrations using various collaboration tools while ensuring optimal system security and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Keep the collaboration systems operational through proactive management
• Identify new use cases for system enhancements from various user interactions
• Implement new capabilities to boost productivity
• Work closely with UX/service-desk teams to provide seamless user support and training
• Enhance user collaboration experience through computational and network improvements
• Develop and refine the toolset and telemetry resources
• Construct a knowledge base with self-serve solutions for performance issue resolution
• Address escalated support tickets in the UC Collaboration domain
• Remain updated on new feature releases and assess their impacts
• Research and implement workarounds and alternative solutions for system gaps
• Analyze application and system logs to resolve issues
• Create Standard Operating Procedures and Knowledge Articles for support staff
• Focus on optimizing telephony functions within collaboration systems
  
  
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant work experience
• Proficiency in the Webex suite of products, especially telephony functions
• Experience with IP networking
• Capability to troubleshoot Cisco UC systems and use administrative tools like Webex Control Hub
• Skills in using diagnostic tools such as Webex Tracer, Wireshark, and Fiddler
• Understanding of Quality of Service features and security principles pertinent to UC Collaboration
• Competency in managing certificate expirations and generating CSRs
• Demonstrated skills in scripting and familiarity with REST/XML APIs for system enhancements
• Strong team collaboration spirit
• Excellent interpersonal engagement abilities
• Outstanding communication and documentation skills
• Independent working and resourcefulness
• Proven proactive approach to customer support ensuring potential issues are addressed swiftly before impacting users
• B2 level of English or higher, with an emphasis on technical communication skills
