WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Support and maintain an existing PHP/Symfony backend application;
- Collaborate with the mobile development team to design and implement new features and API endpoints;
- Contribute to and help maintain an existing Kotlin API;
- Improve and refactor existing code where necessary, with a focus on performance and maintainability;
- Keep the codebase clean and maintainable by setting up the right tools and processes;
- Document APIs, system components, and technical decisions to support ongoing development;
- Work with DevOps and cloud infrastructure as needed (Docker, AWS);
- Identify opportunities for technical improvements and proactively address them.

MUST HAVES

- 5+ years of experience with PHP;
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and API integration;
- Solid experience with MySQL and database design;
- Hands-on experience with Docker;
- Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and services;
- Experience supporting mobile applications from the backend side;
- Strong communication and collaboration skills;
- Upper-Intermediate English level.

NICE TO HAVES

- Experience with Symfony framework (currently using Symfony 4);
- Familiarity with Stripe API or general payment integrations;
- Understanding of Redis and caching strategies;
- Experience with Kotlin;
- Experience implementing CI/CD best practices;
- Experience working with legacy codebases and improving them over time.
