Description

Our client building AI server and networking platforms for Datacenters. The main activity is to port few of their existing BMC solution to OpenBMC.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug OpenBMC firmware modules for server and storage platforms.
• Customize OpenBMC Linux distributions using the Yocto and other similar distributions.
• Integrate BMC firmware with server hardware components and ensure seamless operation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define firmware architecture and technical specifications.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for firmware development and testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-software integration issues.
• Document design decisions, technical specifications, and test procedures.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in embedded firmware development, with at least 2 years in OpenBMC (open-source firmware stack for Baseboard Management Controllers (BMCs) designed to manage various aspects of server hardware).
• Strong programming skills in C/C++and Python.
• Deep understanding of OpenBMC architecture (D-Bus, systemd, REST APIs).
• Experience with IPMI, Redfish, PLDM, and other hardware management protocols.
• Familiarity with server hardware architecture and platform porting.
• Proficiency with Linux kernel, device drivers, and Yocto build system.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
