Description

Successfull candidate will be working for one of the financial organizations of Globallogic portfolio.

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who could join our team, tightly integrated with the Customer and empowered for business and technical decisions. The successful candidate will be joining an international Scrum team.

You will be part of a distributed, cross-functional team.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Kubernetes is a “must”
• Containerised Architecture – OpenShift / Lift & Shift to DC;
• Database – managed Oracle DB & Database Platform – Aurora PostgreSQL;
• Experience in using Bash and CMD/Powershell;
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure As a Code development and modules management using Terraform and TFE;
• Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment, eg. with TeamCity, AWS CodeBuild and GitLab;
• Knowledge of various Git workflows and GitOps principles;
• Experience in issue tracking with JIRA;
• English at an advanced level (read/written/spoken). Ability to take part in day-to-day communication and lead a conversation with other stakeholders.
  
  
  

Job responsibilities

Project specific responsibilities:

• Audit and refactor existing Puppet configurations to ensure they are modular, idempotent, and compatible with future Terraform-based infrastructure.
• Create integration mechanisms between Puppet and Terraform resources, enabling smooth coexistence during the transition phase without disrupting production workflows.
• Define and oversee the strategy for migrating legacy infrastructure and configuration code (e.g., Puppet, scripts) to Atlassian Cloud repositories, ensuring version history preservation, proper access controls, and alignment with enterprise VCS standards
• Contribute to VPN automation and shared infrastructure provisioning between AWS and the datacenter, focusing on reliability, monitoring, and security enforcement.
