About the client:

Our client is a forward-thinking technology company focused on delivering innovative solutions in the security and AI space. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to help maintain and optimize critical software systems running on Linux platforms.

Overview

Join our team to port the Analog Devices AD7768 Sigma-Delta ADC Linux driver from a Xilinx-based system to the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 (CM5). This role focuses on embedded Linux development, hardware abstraction, and driver validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Refactor and adapt the AD7768 driver for Raspberry Pi CM5 using standard Linux kernel APIs (SPI, GPIO, IRQ, etc.)
• Implement and test device tree overlays and platform abstractions
• Validate SPI communication, data acquisition, and performance parity with the original implementation
• Document setup, build, and usage instructions for portability
  
  

Required Skills

• Embedded Linux and kernel driver development
• SPI, GPIO, IRQ, DMA interfaces
• Device tree configuration and overlays
• C/C++ programming
• Raspberry Pi and ARM-based platforms
  
  

Preferred

• Experience with AD7768 or similar ADCs
• Familiarity with Linux kernel build systems (Kconfig/Makefile)
• Signal processing or data acquisition systems
  
  

Deliverables

• Ported driver source code and overlays
• Test reports and validation results
• Build/install documentation and abstraction notes
