As a HSE specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Elaborating proposals for improvement in approaches, methods, procedures and processes in the own field.
• Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.
• Monitoring compliance with legislative and other regulatory acts on labor protection in the enterprise's divisions, ensuring workers receive established benefits and compensations for working conditions.
• Studying working conditions at workplaces, preparing and submitting proposals for developing and implementing more advanced designs of protective equipment, safety devices, and other means of protection against hazardous and harmful production factors.
• Participating in inspections, surveys of the technical condition of buildings, structures, equipment, machines, mechanisms; evaluates the efficiency of ventilation systems; assesses the state of sanitary-technical devices, sanitary facilities; checks collective and individual protective equipment for workers to ensure compliance with labor protection regulations.
• Taking measures to stop the operation of machines or equipment if violations that pose a threat to life or health are detected.
• Participating in developing measures to prevent occupational diseases and accidents at work; improving working conditions to meet regulatory legal acts on labor protection; provides organizational assistance in implementing developed measures.
• Collaborating with other enterprise divisions on workplace certification and production equipment certification for compliance with labor protection requirements.
• Controlling timely testing by relevant services of equipment condition; ensures adherence to schedules for measuring parameters of hazardous production factors; enforces compliance with state supervision bodies' prescriptions regarding current norms, rules, instructions on labor protection standards during production processes as well as new or reconstructed production facilities' projects; participates in their commissioning acceptance.
• Be involved in considering compensation claims by employees due to injuries or occupational diseases related to their job duties performance.
• Providing methodological assistance to enterprise divisions in compiling lists of professions requiring mandatory medical examinations based on current legislation offering compensation/benefits for heavy/harmful/dangerous working conditions during development/reviewing instructions on labor protection standards within enterprises' safety systems organizing training/instruction/testing employees' knowledge about Health and safety issues.
• Conducting introductory trainings about Health and safety with all new hires, business travelers, students arriving for industrial training/practice participates.
• Drafting "Labor Protection" section collective agreement, investigates cases industrial injuries professional/production-related diseases studies causes, analyzes effectiveness implemented preventive measures.
• Be the single point of contact in country for any Security related events.
• Monitoring performance, effectiveness and implementation of the Security program in country and report results to the Country Management team.
• Driving and strengthening the Security function in Country in close cooperation with the Country Management Team.
• Interacting with other functions within the Country to ensure proper Security functionality and implementation of Security policy and procedures.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 4 years’ experience on HSE site operational environment
• Have industry and hands-on knowledge of oil and gas industry
• Have solid knowledge of local HSE regulations in Ukraine
• Must know Law of Ukraine "On Labor Protection"; DSTU OHSAS 18001:2010 “Hygiene and occupational safety management system”, legislative and normative legal acts, methodological materials on labor protection; main technological processes of enterprise product manufacturing; methods of studying working conditions at workplaces; organization of labor protection work; system of labor safety standards; psychophysiological requirements for employees based on job difficulty category, restrictions on the use of women's, adolescents', and light-duty transferred workers' labor; peculiarities of operating equipment used in the enterprise; rules and means of controlling the compliance of equipment's technical condition with safe work requirements; advanced and domestic experience in labor protection; procedure and deadlines for compiling reports on the implementation of labor protection measures; basics of economics, organization of production, labor and management; basics of labor legislation.
• Have upper-intermediate level of English
• Be able to show good problem-solving, process improvement and analytical skills
• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work successfully with a wide variety of people at different levels within the organization
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
