Job Summary
The Electronics Lab Technician ensures reliable operation of the electronics laboratory and provides hands-on support to engineering teams. Responsibilities include maintaining lab equipment and infrastructure, supporting test devices and PCB assembly, preparing and executing test setups, and assisting with device testing and data collection. The role also includes shipment coordination, documentation support, and maintaining a safe, organized laboratory environment.

Job Summary
The Electronics Lab Technician ensures reliable operation of the electronics laboratory and provides hands-on support to engineering teams. Responsibilities include maintaining lab equipment and infrastructure, supporting test devices and PCB assembly, preparing and executing test setups, and assisting with device testing and data collection. The role also includes shipment coordination, documentation support, and maintaining a safe, organized laboratory environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain laboratory equipment and work areas in safe, operational condition.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with bench equipment and test setups.
- Manage inventory, calibration, and maintenance of lab tools, equipment, and consumables.
- Drive improvements to lab infrastructure, including ESD controls, tooling, and procedures.
- Assemble, rework, and repair PCBs, cables, and electronic components.
- Prepare test setups and support device testing by executing procedures and organizing results.
- Assist with data collection, processing, and preparation of technical reports.
- Coordinate shipments between sites and with external vendors.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering is preferred; candidates with relevant technical backgrounds will also be considered.
- Hands-on experience with PCB assembly, rework, and repair
- Skills in circuit debugging, touch-up, and component-level rework.
- Experience in preparing technical documentation and reports
- Familiarity with MATLAB or Python is a plus.
- Experience with automated instrument control is a plus
- Ability to safely lift, push, or pull up to 10–15 kg on an occasional basis and perform tasks such as climbing ladders to access or maintain equipment
- Self-motivated and proactive; takes ownership of lab tasks and follows through to completion.
- Certain flexibility in schedule to support lab priorities (e.g., test runs, equipment downtime, or urgent troubleshooting).
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document setups, results, and issues accurately.
- Team-oriented and comfortable working across engineering functions in a fast-paced, hands-on lab environment.
- Positive, continuous-learning mindset with openness to new tools, procedures, and instrumentation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when assembling hardware, labeling samples, and recording measurements.
- Methodical and safety-minded (including ESD awareness); maintains an organised workspace and repeatable processes.
