Junior Lawyer (1–2 Years’ PQE) | Commercial / Employment / TMT Team | Kyiv, CMS Ukraine

We are looking for a motivated and talented junior lawyer to join our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team in Kyiv. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of legal experience who wants to build a broad, intellectually stimulating practice across advisory and regulatory work.

About The Team

Our team advises clients ranging from large corporations to innovative start-ups across a diverse range of sectors, including food and drink, consumer products, media, energy, oil & gas, IT, and telecoms.

We Work Across Five Core Practice Areas

• Commercial & Contracts — drafting and negotiating supply, distribution, and other kinds of commercial agreements
• Employment Law — advising on workplace matters and regulatory compliance
• Competition Law — supporting clients on competition compliance and regulatory issues
• Technology, Media & Telecoms (TMT) — acting for blue-chip companies and emerging tech firms in fintech, blockchain, robotics, and AI
• Data Privacy — guiding clients on GDPR compliance and broader data protection matters

The Role

You will work across a varied caseload, providing pragmatic, commercially aware legal advice. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts
• Advising on commercial, IT, and data protection matters
• Supporting employment and competition law matters
• Providing professional support to partners and senior team members
• Building and maintaining client relationships
• Contributing to business development and marketing initiatives
  
  

About You

We are looking for an energetic, proactive individual with strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in building expertise across our practice areas. You do not need experience in all of them — enthusiasm and aptitude matter.

Essential

• Law degree from an accredited Ukrainian university
• 1–2 years of full-time legal experience in commercial, employment, competition, or technology law (private practice or in-house)
• Excellent written and spoken English and Ukrainian
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills
• Commercial mindset with solid time management and organisational abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  
  

Desirable

• Experience across more than one of our core practice areas
• Additional language skills
• Demonstrable interest in tech, data privacy, or competition law
