DevOps Engineer - Tieto Tech Consulting (m/f/d)

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join Tieto Tech Consulting and work with our customer – a multinational telecommunications company delivering cutting-edge network infrastructure and digital services worldwide.

As part of the team, you will contribute to a centralized checksum-based artifact repository service built on the JFrog Platform (Artifactory & Xray) with custom plugins. The project supports multiple production environments and focuses on platform infrastructure maintenance, deployment and upgrade automation, service monitoring, incident resolution, and operational support for users.

The successful candidate is a collaborative team player with a proactive mindset, capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications

• Proficiency with various software package managers (e.g. rpm, war, docker, npm), i.e. how to build them, and able to quickly grasp new package managers of other types (e.g. go, etc)
• Proficiency reading, understanding and troubleshooting Java applications/JVM (threadumps, heapdumps, etc)
• Proficiency with SQL and some DBA experience (MySQL, Postgres)
• Proficiency with Linux, including related IT environment
• Proficiency with automation and scripting (e.g. Python, shell)
• Proficiency with servlet containers such as Tomcat
• Proficiency with Web Services (REST/SOAP)
• Experience with Docker
• Ability to solve complex problems quickly and completely, and document solutions
• Experience with user support
  
  

Will be an advantage

• Experience with binary management systems (Artifactory, Nexus)
• Experience with automated deployment framework (e.g. Ansible)
• Experience with source versioning (GIT) and unit testing (jUnit)
• Experience with using Agile development methodology (Scrum, Scaled agile, Kanban)
• Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
