Country Manager
Ark Robotics
We are seeking an experienced and forward-looking Country Manager Ukraine to lead Ark Robotics’ largest and most critical market — Ukraine. This role is less about building from scratch and more about transforming and scaling what already exists: creating lean, high-performing teams, embedding strong processes, and driving organizational change to support rapid growth in a wartime defense tech environment.
The role will oversee the full spectrum of Ark’s operations in Ukraine — from manufacturing and R&D to business development and sales — ensuring alignment, clarity, and efficiency across all teams. The role requires a leader who can embed discipline, structure, and accountability while fostering a culture of ownership, high output, and collaboration. This is a leadership role where success means turning Ukraine into a world-class operational hub, capable of delivering consistently on output, quality, and speed while supporting Ark’s global scale-up.
Team & Culture Development
- Build and nurture high-performing teams, ensuring clarity in roles, objectives, and accountability. Foster a culture of ownership, discipline, and collaboration aligned with Ark’s value and operating principles.
- Empower managers and team leads to drive performance, while providing coaching and guidance.
- Create an environment that balances high-output expectations with resilience and adaptability
Operational Excellence
- Ensure each function has clear objectives, priorities, and progress tracking. Actively work with team leads to review performance, address bottlenecks, and align on outcomes.
- Embed lean and efficient ways of working, eliminating unnecessary complexity.
- Drive alignment across functions so operations in Ukraine consistently support delivery and scale.
Change Management & Process Leadership
- Lead structured change management initiatives across the organization.
- Introduce and implement scalable processes that improve efficiency, coordination, and output.
- Ensure adoption of new systems, workflows, and performance frameworks without slowing delivery.
- Build organizational maturity by reinforcing accountability and transparency in all process
Fiscal Discipline & Financial Oversight
- Provide leadership oversight of the finance function, ensuring proper budgeting, spend tracking, and reporting.
- Act as a strong partner to the finance team — asking the right questions, reviewing key outputs, and ensuring accuracy.
- Ensure financial visibility and cost discipline across all Ukrainian operations.
- Drive discussions on efficiency and resource optimization with leadership and team leads.
Sales Channel Integration & Execution
- Ensure seamless alignment of Ukrainian teams with Ark’s global sales strategy.
- Build operational readiness to deliver on sales commitments with speed, quality, and reliability.
- Partner with sales leadership to remove blockers and ensure execution translates into customer delivery
Strategic Leadership & Feedback Loop
- Establish a structured operating rhythm: regular cross-team meetings, one-on-ones, and performance reviews.
- Ensure there is a consistent feedback loop between global leadership and local execution.
- Maintain real-time visibility on organizational health: what’s progressing, what’s blocked, and where intervention is needed.
- Provide clear, structured updates to HQ on operations, people, financials, and risks.
- Play a key role in shaping the long-term role of Ukraine as Ark’s operational and cultural backbone
Success Metrics
Process excellence: Key workflows documented, standardized, and embedded within first
6 months.
High-output culture: Measurable productivity increase across core teams (output per team
member).
Lean operations: Operational costs optimized while maintaining or improving delivery speed/quality.
Team engagement: Improved clarity, accountability, and engagement scores across Ukrainian teams
Sales alignment: Ukrainian operations seamlessly support global sales pipeline, with zero critical
failures.
Change implementation: Successful adoption of new systems, processes, and performance frameworks.
Key Requirements
- 7+ years of leadership experience in operations, general management, or organizational change.
- Proven ability to lead change management initiatives and build scalable processes in fast-moving environments.
- Strong background in leading large, diverse teams under pressure with high accountability.
- Track record of fostering high-output cultures through clarity, discipline, and motivation.
- Experience working cross-functionally with sales, operations, and technical teams.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, able to align teams around priorities and results.
- Proactive and resilient leader — capable of driving transformation in a wartime/high-pressure environment.
- Fluency in Ukrainian, English (written and spoken). Other languages would be considered as an
advantage.
