Senior Database Administrator

We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator to manage, secure and optimize our on-premises infrastructure. You will oversee mission-critical PostgreSQL and EnterpriseDB (EDB) Postgres Advanced Server deployments and migrations. This role ensures maximum uptime, strict data compliance and seamless migrations within a secure on-premises physical and virtual environment.

Kindly note that this role supports remote work, but only from within Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-premises PostgreSQL and EDB Postgres Advanced Server (EPAS) clusters
• Optimize slow queries and tune database parameters using EDB Postgres Enterprise Manager (PEM)
• Support failover, replication and disaster recovery infrastructure using EDB tools
• Enforce database security patches, access controls and encryption protocols on-prem
• Write and maintain Oracle-compatible PL/SQL objects to support legacy system integration

Requirements

• 3+ years of database administration experience with deep production knowledge of PostgreSQL and EDB
• Background in managing databases on-premises including bare metal, VMware or private cloud
• Expertise in EDB Failover Manager (EFM), Backup and Recovery Tool (BART) and PEM
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/PostgreSQL and Oracle compatibility features (PL/SQL)
• Skills in Linux system administration, shell scripting and storage performance optimization
• Fluent communication skills in English at a B2+ level
