Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading protection agency with a mandate to protect, advocate and promote durable solutions for displacement affected populations.

DRC has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, currently DRC employs over 800 staff in Ukraine and implements emergency response in the Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action) sectors, using direct interventions, support to duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with CSOs. DRC will continue and adapt its durable solutions portfolio to the evolving context.

DRC is currently looking for a Cleaner in Kharkiv .

About The Job

The cleaner ensures cleanliness in the premises, offices and Guest Houses (GHs). Reports to the HR and Administration Team Leader.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

• Daily wet cleaning of office common areas (corridor, kitchen, bathroom, conference hall)
• Daily dry cleaning of surfaces in common areas, as well as their disinfection;
• Polishing of surfaces and furniture;
• Ensuring cleanliness of glass, mirror and ceramic surfaces;
• Washing kitchen appliances and accessories (coffee maker, kettle, refrigerator, etc. as needed);
• Control of the availability of consumables for the office (liquid soap, toilet paper, hand wipes,detergents, etc.);
• Daily garbage collection, replacement of garbage bags;
• Seasonal window cleaning (twice a year or as needed);
• Carrying out general cleaning 4 times a year;
• Cleaning switches, plinths and accessories from dust;
• Care of plants in the office, apartments and GHs;
• Wet cleaning of apartments (guesthouses): floor cleaning, polishing of surfaces and furniture,ensuring the cleanliness of glass, mirror and ceramic surfaces, washing and processing of sanitaryware, washing of kitchen appliances and utensils as needed, washing of bed linen, garbagecollection, seasonal window cleaning (twice a year or as needed).

About You

To be successful in this role we expect you to have Secondary or higher education. Moreover, we alsoexpect the following:

Required:

• Experience in office, apartments and Guest-house cleaning (preferred); Neat appearance;
• Diligence, Punctuality, Decency, Love for cleanness; Responsible performance of duties.
  
  

Desirable:

• Basic English will be an advantage.

• Contract length: 3 months probation period, with the possibility of extension based on fundingandsatisfactory performance.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National Staff starting from EUR 625 gross per month (depending on experience and qualifications).
