The Opportunity

The Junior Claims Specialist is responsible for the accurate registration, assessment, and processing of insurance claims, ensuring timely and fair claim decisions and payments while delivering high-quality service to customers and business partners across Ukraine. This role supports MetLife's mission of helping customers navigate life's uncertainties by providing professional claims handling, maintaining compliance with internal procedures, and fostering trust through effective communication with clients, partners, and external institutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviewing and processing insurance claims in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Verify claim documentation and identify missing information.
• Communicate with customers, healthcare providers, and business partners regarding claim requirements and claim status.
• Accurately enter and maintain data in claims management systems.
• Support senior team members in claim assessment and administrative activities.
• Ensure timely handling of assigned tasks while maintaining service quality standards.
• Participate in training programs and continuously develop knowledge of insurance products and claims processes.
  
  

Required Qualifications

Education

• Higher education degree (completed or in progress), preferably in Medicine, Healthcare, Insurance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  
  

Work Experience

• Previous experience in customer service, administration, insurance, healthcare, or other office-based roles is an advantage but not required.
• Recent graduates and candidates at the beginning of their professional careers are encouraged to apply.
• Strong motivation to develop a career in insurance and claims management.
  
  

Knowledge and Skills

• Basic understanding of insurance principles and claims handling processes is desirable.
• Ability to review documentation accurately and maintain records.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ukrainian: Fluent.
• English: Basic to Intermediate level will be an advantage.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in insurance, claims handling, or customer service is preferred. Candidates without prior experience will also be considered, provided they demonstrate strong motivation and a willingness to learn.
• Preferably at least Elementary English level.
• Internship, academic, or part-time experience in insurance, healthcare, administration, customer service, or finance.\
• Familiarity with medical terminology or healthcare documentation.
• Experience working with CRM systems or other business applications.
