Ehvert Mission Critical, a business unit within Salas O’Brien, is seeking an experienced Recruiter for North American Market on a long-term independent contractor basis.

This is an ongoing contractual engagement with a US-based company and is not limited to a single project. The role involves continuous collaboration across multiple mission-critical projects, based on business needs.

You will provide services as an independent, self-employed professional under a formal independent contractor agreement.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Recruiter as an independent contract worker to support talent acquisition for cutting-edge data center projects across North America. In this role, you will manage the full-cycle recruitment process for engineering, design, construction, BIM/VDC, IT, and corporate positions, partnering closely with hiring managers and business leaders to attract and secure top talent.

You will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, building talent pipelines, conducting candidate interviews, coordinating recruitment processes, and ensuring an exceptional candidate experience from initial outreach through offer acceptance. The role requires close collaboration with international hiring teams while supporting multiple concurrent hiring initiatives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Strong recruitment expertise, excellent communication skills, business partnership capabilities, and the ability to identify high-quality technical talent are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from sourcing through offer stage.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, define recruitment strategies, and provide market insights.
• Source active and passive candidates for engineering, BIM/VDC, construction, IT, and corporate positions across multiple countries.
• Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
• Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
• Conduct HR interviews and evaluate candidates' qualifications, experience, motivation, and English proficiency.
• Coordinate interview processes with hiring managers and technical interviewers.
• Prepare and negotiate employment or independent contractor offers in collaboration with management.
• Draft professional communication including emails, interview invitations, offers, and rejection letters.
• Monitor recruitment metrics and evaluate sourcing channel effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
• Provide regular recruitment updates and reports to management.
• Contribute to employer branding initiatives and continuous improvement of recruitment processes.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Excellent (C1 or higher) written and verbal English skills.
• Minimum 5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience.
• Recruiting experience in the US/Canada is an asset
• Experience within engineering consulting, EPC firms, mission-critical construction, or related technical industries is a strong plus
• Strong expertise in LinkedIn Recruiter and modern sourcing techniques.
• Proven experience recruiting passive candidates.
• Experience conducting competency-based interviews.
• Experience recruiting across international markets is considered a strong asset.
• Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Analytical mindset with experience using recruitment metrics to improve hiring effectiveness.
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

This engagement is strictly as an independent contractor. A formal independent contractor agreement will be required before work begins, governed by Texas, United States law.
