Senior/Lead Node.js Developer with AWS

We're looking for a Senior/Lead Node.js Developer with AWS expertise to become part of a contact-centre transformation programme designed for a retail e-commerce platform that sells connected consumer devices. The project centers on developing two new self-service customer journeys on the client's website: a digital returns and order-cancellation flow, along with an appointment booking journey. As a member of this embedded delivery team, you'll operate within a Scrum framework guided by a client-side Project Manager, Product Owners, and Scrum Master.

Kindly note that this role supports remote work, but only from within Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop and test AWS-based backend services that power the digital returns, order cancellation, and appointment self-serve journeys
• Connect new services with the client's existing systems and internal APIs
• Engage in sprint planning, refinement sessions, and daily standups as part of a Scrum delivery model guided by the client Product Owner and Scrum Master
• Leverage CI/CD through GitHub Actions to handle build and deployment workflows
• Work closely alongside Salesforce developers and QA engineers within the same team
• Help develop the digital returns journey, allowing customers to start, cancel, and monitor their returns
• Assist in building order cancellation self-serve features, linking with the client's current order-management and cancellation systems
• Develop appointment self-serve functionality that integrates with the client's existing scheduling system
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of substantial experience with TypeScript and Node.js
• Demonstrated, hands-on background working within serverless architecture, preferably using AWS-native patterns and services
• Direct experience using AWS Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, and Step Functions
• Working knowledge of AWS S3, DynamoDB, and RDS
• Hands-on familiarity with Git or comparable version control systems
• Experience operating within an Agile/Scrum environment
• Solid history of delivering systems that are robust, scalable, and easy to maintain
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills paired with strong team collaboration abilities
• Strong attention to detail combined with the capacity to work both independently and proactively
