Finance Officer

Role Description This full-time Finance Officer role is based on-site in Dnipro. The Finance Officer will manage day-to-day financial operations, including processing invoices, expenses, and payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting budget monitoring for projects and programs. The role includes preparing regular financial reports, assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities, and ensuring compliance with UK-Med’s financial policies and donor requirements. The Finance Officer will collaborate closely with program and operations teams to provide financial guidance, support forecasting, and contribute to efficient use of resources. The position also involves assisting with audits, improving financial procedures, and supporting the implementation of financial systems and controls.
Qualifications

• Strong finance and analytical skills, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in financial statements and financial reporting, with the ability to interpret and present financial information clearly.
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance colleagues and collaborate within diverse teams.
• Experience working with accounting or ERP software and strong Excel skills.
• Knowledge of donor-funded or NGO financial requirements is an advantage.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Relevant degree or professional qualification in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in humanitarian, healthcare, or international development contexts is beneficial.
