We are looking for a Middle Legal Counsel focused on product and marketing compliance, data protection, IP, and regulatory compliance in the USA, EU, and UK.

As the SKELAR Legal Risks & Compliance team, we build the foundation that enables our businesses to scale quickly and with minimal risk. We handle compliance in numerous jurisdictions, resolve complex cases, and provide top-level legal partnership.

Your impact

In this role, you will:

• Identify and assess legal risks related to consumer protection, data privacy, and IP across key markets, including the USA, EU, and UK.
• Provide practical legal advice and solutions that protect SKELAR’s interests while supporting business objectives.
• Work closely with Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Finance teams on day-to-day legal and compliance matters.
• Support the development and implementation of compliance processes, policies, and internal guidelines.
• Assist businesses with regulatory inquiries, investigations, and dispute resolution.
• Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments and help translate them into clear, practical guidance for the business.
• Work with senior lawyers and business stakeholders on complex legal matters and gradually take ownership of your areas of responsibility.
  
  

About You

• 3+ years of relevant legal experience in a top-tier law firm, Big 4, product or tech company.
• Law degree from a Ukrainian or foreign university.
• Fluent English.
• Practical experience in compliance, commercial, privacy, consumer protection, or other relevant areas of international law.
• Ability to identify legal risks and provide clear, practical, business-oriented advice.
• Comfortable working with different stakeholders and explaining complex legal matters in a simple and pragmatic way.
• Proactive, well-organized, attentive to detail, and willing to take ownership of tasks.
• Ability to work independently while knowing when to involve more senior colleagues or external counsel.
  
  

Will be a plus

• Experience with consumer protection laws in the USA and EU, including FTC Act, ROSCA, Omnibus Directive, etc.
• Understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection frameworks.
• Experience supporting product, marketing, or technology teams on legal and compliance matters.
• Experience with commercial and intellectual property matters in an international environment.
• Practical experience using AI tools for legal research, analysis, document review, or other legal workflows.
