The Opportunity

The Accountant is responsible for bank payments processing, bank statements uploading, communication with banks, bank keys administration, foreign currency transactions processing, etc. It is position with high level of responsibilities for MetLife Ukraine. This is an exciting opportunity to work in stable team of professionals with good attitude to work and exact the scope of job duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares payment orders.
• Processes bank statements for several key banks as designated by the Chief Accountant.
• Processes bank statements for all foreign currency accounts
• Conducts foreign currency operations, including currency purchases, preparation of payment orders and administrative notifications, collection of supporting documents, and submission of documents to banks.
• Performs foreign currency revaluation and monitors foreign currency balances.
• Reviews contracts with non-residents and, when necessary, participates in and provides recommendations for resolving issues related to foreign currency transactions and the transfer of foreign economic activity (FEA) contracts to another servicing bank.
• Communicates with banks regarding payment-related issues, changes to cash settlement and banking services, and other banking matters
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Higher education in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience in an accounting role.
• Experience working with multiple online banking systems (client-bank platforms).
• Practical experience in preparing and processing payment orders.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of foreign currency transactions and settlements.
• English proficiency is an advantage.
