About The Project

Our client is a leading media company in Western Europe, delivering high-quality content across various platforms, including newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, websites, apps, and podcasts. Their brands reach millions of people daily, shaping the media landscape with independent and trusted journalism.

We are collaborating with them to develop a cutting-edge digital advertising solution that optimizes media campaigns and enhances user engagement. The product is already in production, and we are continuously evolving its features to meet the dynamic needs of the market.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team as a QA to analyze business requirements and create/ update testing documentation
• Provide different type of testing for web application (UI/API)
• Report and verify bugs to guarantee the quality of the project
• Actively participate in release activities and execute appropriate types of testing (Regression testing, Smoke testing, Exploratory testing, etc.)
• Actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies ( Daily meetings, Sprint planning, retrospectives, brainstorming activities related to the project)
  
  

Requirements

• 2+ years of commercial experience in testing web applications
• Strong understanding of Browser DevTools (Network, Console, Storage, Performance, Elements tabs) for debugging and issue investigation
• Hands-on experience in API testing of REST services using Postman/Insomnia/Charles, including validation of JSON/XML responses, authentication, and error handling.
• Ability to independently analyze, clarify, decompose, and estimate requirements and testing scope
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and QA best practices
• Experience designing comprehensive Test Cases, Checklists, and Test Plans using test design techniques (Boundary Value, Equivalence Partitioning, Decision Table, State Transition)
• Practical experience with Jira and Confluence, including clear bug reporting and test documentation. - Good knowledge of SQL, including complex JOINs, aggregations, subqueries, and data validation across UI/API/database layers
• Strong understanding of Client-Server architecture, HTTP/HTTPS, headers, cookies, sessions, caching, and browser behavior
• Experience working with logs and debugging tools
• Experience with cross-browser and responsive testing
• English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher
• Good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript
• Hands-on experience writing and maintaining UI/API automated tests using Playwright, WebdriverIO, Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks
• Understanding of test automation architecture, Page Object Model, fixtures, and reusable test utilities - Good knowledge of Git: branching, pull requests, conflict resolution, and code review basics
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including basic understanding of cloud services, environments, deployment workflows, and log analysis for testing and debugging purposes
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and collaborate closely with developers and product managers
• Ability to estimate testing efforts and identify risks
  
  

Will Be a Plus

• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Experience mentoring junior QA engineers or reviewing their work
• ISTQB certification
• Practical experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to improve QA workflows, test generation, and documentation
