As an Engineering Manager, you will guide a mission-driven team focused on transforming complex global risk data into clear, actionable intelligence. You'll play a key role in building systems that accelerate decision-making and streamline manual review processes for some of the world’s most recognized brands.

What we’re looking for:
As an Engineering Manager, you will guide a mission-driven team focused on transforming complex global risk data into clear, actionable intelligence. You'll play a key role in building systems that accelerate decision-making and streamline manual review processes for some of the world’s most recognized brands.

What would make you a strong fit:
- 7+ years in software development with 2+ years leading teams building scalable systems.
- Proven track record of delivering full-stack features—from backend services (Java or similar) to customer-facing UIs.
- Deep understanding of building and operating high-volume, highly available systems with low-latency requirements.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners, including machine learning, product, and design teams, to deliver impactful end-to-end solutions.
- Skilled in hiring, mentoring, and growing engineering talent while fostering a strong team culture.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills to prioritize and deliver complex initiatives.
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like GCP or AWS for scalable web services and data processing.
- Background in fraud detection or risk management domains.
- Lead and manage the Identity Intelligence engineering team in our Europe R&D center, with 5 people in a span of control.
- Mentor and develop the team as they build core components of Sift’s fraud detection platform and identity intelligence systems.
- Drive planning and delivery of key product features, UI integrations, and platform improvements that enhance scalability and user experience.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering partners to align on priorities and ensure effective execution.
- Partner with engineering and product leadership to identify and prioritize strategic investments across both product features and technical initiatives.
